We are on the road to revival at Crossgate Church through our teaching series in the Old Testament book of Nehemiah.

Last week, we said that “the road to revival is paved with prayer.” We said that revival happens when we sincerely and desperately want more of God in our lives. Revival happen when we seek God more for who He is rather than what He does for us.

We also established that revival is primarily about (1) Jesus followers crying out for more of God, (2) repenting of personal, secret sins, and (3) utterly depending on God.

This week we are exploring two truths about revival:

  • Revival truth #1: “Life change is not primarily about change . . . it’s about more of God in your life.”
  • Revival Truth #2: “Revival spreads on the wings of testimony.”

How about you? What is your personal testimony?

  • Recent - Is it recent? Remember, a revival testimony isn’t about when you got saved, it’s about what God is doing in your life RIGHT NOW as you cry out to have more of God in your life.
  • Transparent - Is it transparent? When you talk about what God is doing in your life right now, are you willing to be transparent? I mean, are you willing to tell your story warts and all—the good, the bad, and the ugly?
  • Invitational - Is it invitational? As God works in your life, are you talking about it in such a way that you invite other Jesus followers to join you on the road to revival?

Join us as we seek more of God in every aspect of our lives, and in our church.
