Acts 3:1-26

People at the Gate . . .

God invites us to engage a world in need.

  • God loves to turn inconvenient moments into divine
    • Be sensitive to the Spirit’s prompting.
      • You will be sensitive to the Spirit’s prompting when you are daily soaking in His presence.
    • Be obedient to what the Spirit is leading you to do.

In order to display His power through ordinary lives that have been extraordinarily changed.

“And they were amazed and astonished, saying, ‘Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?’”  Acts 2:7

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished.  And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.”  Acts 4:13

So that the world will be drawn to and pointed to the wonder of Jesus Christ.

“And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him . . . all the people were utterly astounded, ran together to them in the portico called Solomon’s.”  Acts 3:10-11

  • Jesus is the servant of God.
  • Jesus is the Holy and Righteous
  • Jesus is the Author of Life.
  • Jesus is the One who God raised from the dead.

  • Only Jesus can save us, therefore . . .

“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”  Acts 4:12

  • Repent (so that . . .)
    • You receive forgiveness of sin.
    • You will be refreshed.
    • You will find hope in His return.
