The Bad News . . .
If Jesus is not alive, there is no reconciliation with God. (1 Corinthians 15:17)
o In other words, sin wins.
If Jesus is not alive, there is no victory over death. (1 Corinthians 15:18)
o In other words, death wins.
If Jesus is not alive, this life is empty and the future is hopeless.
The Great News . . .
Because Jesus is alive, there is a way to be reconciled to God. (2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
o Sin is defeated.
o Forgiveness is offered.
Because Jesus is alive, there is a way to truly come alive. (Ephesians 2:4-9; Colossians 2:13-14)
o Death isdefeated.
Because Jesus is alive, there is a living hope. (1 Peter 1:3-9)
o We have a future.
Coming Alive . . .
I must acknowledge that I am separated from God because of my sin.
I must turn from sin and turn to Jesus for the forgiveness of my sin.
I must surrender my life to Jesus by putting my faith completely in Him.
