“Superglue and Jesus”

Colossians 1:15-20

 

 

The Simple Truth . . .

• If you feel as though your life is falling apart, there is hope in Christ.
  • Even that which is broken can be reconciled by Christ.
    • Reconciled: brought back to God’s original design

 

The Reason You Can Have Hope . . .

• Because in Christ, all things hold together. (v. 17)

“And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”  (v.17)

 

“He (Jesus) is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the word of His power.”  Hebrews 1:3

 

The Reason You Need Christ . . .

• Separate from Christ everything falls apart.
  • What God does His way always ends up as a testimony; but what I do my way always ends up a train wreck.

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.”  Proverbs 16:25

 

So What?

• Without Christ, your scars only tell a story of brokenness. But in Christ your scars tell a story of God’s unconditional love and overwhelming grace.

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7
