MATT 9:35-38
As we stand before the Lord the conversation may go something like this.
“What did you do to share My gospel with the world?”
Jesus saw the multitudes! “Seeing the people”
Jesus saw their needs: “distressed and downcast”
Pain: Sick (Mat14:14); Blind (Jn9:1-41); Demon (Mk9:25).
Sorrow: Lk7:13 widow at Nain whose son had died.
Hunger: Matt 15:32 feeding the 4,000.
Loneliness: Mk 1:41 the leper Jesus healed.
Jesus saw their lost condition: “Like sheep without a shepherd.”
“He felt compassion for them.”
If we really think & hear, we will feel.
Lam 3:51 “My eyes bring pain to my soul, because of all the daughters of my city.”
Jesus wept over the multitudes (Lk 19:41-42).
III. OUR LIPS MUST SPEAK (Rom 10:14-15)
The Jews of Paul’s day:
Saw no need for salvation. (10:1)
They were zealous for God. (10:2)
They were proud and self-righteous. (10:3)
Paul posed a series of questions to them and to us.
How will they call on Him?
How will they believe in Him?
How will they hear without a preacher?
How will they preach unless they are sent?
Here is an urgent plea for Christians to share our story.
CONCLUSION
We must: See with our eyes; Feel with our hearts; Speak with our lips;
Then we will boldly share our story with a lost world.
