Jesus’s resurrection means that there is a way for you to be made right with God.

“And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile, and you are still in your sins.”  1 Corinthians 15:17

“More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.”  Romans 5:11

  • Why do I need to be made right with God?
    • Because your sins have made you an enemy with God.

“For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by His life.”  Romans 5:10

“And you, who were once alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, He has now reconciled in His body of flesh by His death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before Him . . .”  Colossians 1:21-22

  • Because only Jesus can give you peace with God.

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Romans 5:1

Jesus’s resurrection means that He has made a way for you to be alive to God in Christ Jesus.

  • Why do I need to be made alive to God in Christ Jesus?
    • Because your sins have caused you to be dead to God.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death . . .”  Romans 6:23a

  • Because what your dead heart needs most is spiritual life.
    • The greatest need of one who is dead is resurrection.

Jesus’s resurrection means that He has made a way for you to have living hope.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”  1 Peter 1:3-5

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”  Romans 15:13
