As a mom, looking through the lens of God’s Word gives you a proper perspective on how to love your children well.

·         Loving your children well looks like . . .

o   Teaching your children well. (Psalm 78:1-8)

“My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not your mother’s teaching.  Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.  When you walk, they will lead you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; and when you awake they will talk with you.”  Proverbs 6:20-22

“Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.  Remember the day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb, when he said to me, "Assemble the people before me to hear my words so that they may learn to revere me as long as they live in the land and may teach them to their children." Deuteronomy 4:9-10

o   Leaving your children a Christ-exalting legacy. (2 Timothy 3:14-17)

o   Letting go of your children well. (Proverbs 22:6)

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”  Proverbs 22:6

As a mom, looking through the lens of God’s Word gives you a proper perspective on how God loves you well.

·         In those unappreciated moments, know that God is saying to you “I notice you and I love you forever.”

·         In those all-alone moments, know that God is saying to you, “I’m here and I love you forever.”

·         In those exhausting moments (physically/emotionally/spiritually/mentally), know that God is saying to you, “I am your rest, and I love forever.”

·         In those stressful moments, know that God is saying to you, “I am your peace, and I love you forever.”

·         In those disappointing moments, know that God is saying to you, “I am your joy, and I love you forever.”

In those fearful moments, know that God is saying to you, “I am with you, and I love you forever.”

·         In those joyous moments, know that God is saying to you, “I will bless you, and I love you forever.”

Looking through the lens of God’s Word gives you a perspective on how to love the mom in your life well.

·         Show her honor.

“Children obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.  Honor your father and mother (this is the first commandment with a promise), that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.”  Ephesians 6:1-3

·         Show her appreciation.

“ . . . giving thanks  always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ . . .”  Ephesians 5:20

·         Remind her of her worth.

“I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are Your works; my soul knows it very well.”  Psalm 139:14

·         Pray diligently for her.

“ . . . pray without ceasing . . .” 1 Thessalonians 5:17

·         Praise her often.

“Her children rise up and call her blessed . . . a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”  Proverbs 31:28, 30b
