Questions: When Jesus gets to heaven, what happens to Him? What did He ascend to do? How should we view Jesus today?
The day of Jesus’ ascension
was Coronation Day in heaven!

As we think today about Jesus ascending to Heaven and being crowned Lord of all, we need to ask two questions: What is Jesus’ role now as Lord, and what is my role as a subject of His Kingdom?
1. Jesus
dwells eternally not only as Savior, but also as Lord over
everything! - Colossians 1:15-20
- His role is to be Lord; our role is to

Lordship
2. Jesus
is preparing our
heavenly home.
- John 14:1-3 ::Revelation 21:1-3; 9-24
- Jesus’ role is to prepare our eternal home; our role is to
wait eagerly for it and to live
presently as
though that were home.
3. Jesus
intercedes
for us before the Father.
- Romans 8:31-32
- Jesus’ role is to intercede before God as our Defense Attorney; our role is to live under His freedom and grace.
Not only did Jesus ascend to Heaven, He is coming back!
